Craig Prehn is a product, visual, and interaction designer.

I believe in being well-rounded. My background includes visual and product design, art direction, video and digital media production, and user experience. In college, I studied photography and printmaking, and in my free time I’m currently fixing up an old house.

How I work

From big brands to small nonprofits and lots in between, I’ve had the privilege to create digital, print, product, and experiential design and media experiences for global organizations, local businesses, marketing and advertising agencies, software companies, museums, and historical preservation. I bring positive energy, deep industry knowledge, and well-tuned instincts to every project and team. This approach helps me forge productive and long-lasting partnerships with stakeholders, clients, and colleagues.

Building creative community is important to me and vital to the practice of design, and I enjoy experimenting with new technologies and ways to collaborate. Actively including diverse backgrounds, ideas, and ways of thinking into the creative process isn’t just good for business. It’s also how we can design a better world. For me, good design is about anticipating and meeting user needs, being as functional and efficient as possible, creating simple and elegant experiences, and making things better than they were before.
